Academic Data

OSU facilitates students' academic and personal success through the gathering of relevant data. Individual offices and departments oversee initial data collection and storage, following applicable laws and policies. This information is not exhaustive but is meant to illustrate what is typical on campus. This section may be updated as needed without notification. 	What Data Do We Collect
	Application materials, including test scores and high school and college transcripts Class schedule information, including 6-week and final grades Major, college, GPA, total hours completed, etc. Degrees earned Proxy Access (FERPA releases)

	Where We Share Data
	Individual student data is shared with FERPA-trained university staff with a legitimate educational interest. Anonymized, aggregate academic data is shared publicly on IRA Dashboards. By student request, transcripts may be shared with potential employers or other institutions. OSU privately and securely shares individual student data with select vendors in order to provide additional support for students through advanced analytics. Certain data (defined as "directory information") may be shared without explicit consent.
